Suspended between paralysis and adaptation, Kairos’ Elysium is centers on a hybrid creature whose tiger and crow heads emerge from the body of a deep-blue horse, while a self-portrait of the artist sits upon its back. The creature’s intertwined necks, constructed as a single unstable anatomy, stage a conflict among thought, instinct, and emotion: a body prepared for movement but held in contemplation. While the figure remains motionless, her contact with the surrounding landscape positions nature as a form of support, and resilience as an ongoing negotiation with the future.
